2000s Nursing - The Modern Nurse Today
2000 Queen Mother's 100th Birthday
Staff from the Queen Mother's Hospital celebrated the real Queen Mum's 100th birthday in July, with Midwives celebrating in style by dressing up in turn of the century nursing uniforms.
2002 New MRI Scanner tested on footballing dad
In July, the Royal Alexandra Hospital tested their brand new state of the art MRI scanner on a young father who injured his leg whilst playing with his children. The new facility was to supply radiology services to the local population and an MRI service across the Argyll and Clyde area.

Divisions dissolved and CH(C)Ps introduced.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde created
Clyde services and facilities merge with Greater Glasgow.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde formed
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde formed by merging boundaries of NHS Greater Glasgow and part of former NHS Argyll & Clyde.

New Mental Health Hospital opens
Rowanbank Medium Secure Mental Health Hospital opens at Stobhill.

New Beatson opens
