A Significant Medical History

In 1995, The Royal Hospital for sick children celebrated 80 years since the country’s first almoner (later known as a medical social worker) was appointed in 1915. To commemorate this occasion the Scottish Health Minister Lord Fraser of Carmylie unveiled a plaque in the Board Room of the Yorkhill NHS Trust.
